What do other people see and feel when they look at your photography?
Attend our first SVA “Photo Slam” and find out.
November 1 from 2:00-4:00 PM
Facilitated by professional photographer, Lisa Lehmann, of Lehmann Photo Art, we’ll discuss composition, color, impact, originality and other qualities. We’ll talk about the techniques that could have made the image better while you were shooting, and explore which post-production tools could further enhance the image to make it really pop! Each photo will be scored by the group. Top three photos of the day will get prizes.
Casual and skilled photographers are welcome! Participants may submit up to ten photos. (We will have prizes!) Reserve your spot by dropping an email to us firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put “Photo Slam” in the subject line and don’t forget to attach your image files.

Exploring Printing Techniques: Block Print Your Holiday Greetings!
November 5, 12, and 19 from 6-9:30 PM

Create your own one-of-a-kind, Fine Art Seasonal Greeting Card this year! In this 3-session class, we will explore negative space and color interaction while each creating a run of 20 two-color block-printed cards.

Each student will be supplied with:
2- 4×6 easy-cut printing blocks, 5 Sheets of 14×17 Bristol paper (which will be divided into 4 cards each sheet for a total of 20 ea – 4¼ x 7 card blanks), Choice of 2 water-based block printing ink colors (out of 7 or 8 colors), Brayers to share, Cutting tools to share, Disposable palette paper sheets as needed, Newsprint or other practice paper for lining up prints, Mat board or foam board with pre-cut 4×6 window for aligning printing blocks (made ahead of time by the instructor).
Later in the month we have a special Deer Hunting Windows lineup of classes………………
Learn to paint with alcohol inks on ceramic tiles or
